Website Editorial Statement

Most of the articles, historical material, records of people, and images used on this website are organised from the original publication, Bahau Local Chronicles. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the collection of materials, interviews, article writing, editing, proofreading, photography, design, publication, and other assistance.

Their sustained and careful work preserved Bahau's historical connections, local memories, and people's stories, providing an important foundation for this digital organisation and public reading edition.

For screen reading, the website has made measured adjustments to the original book's chapter order, heading levels, image placement, and some explanatory text. The original historical material, meaning of the articles, and associated credits have been respected and retained.

As the Editorial Committee of this historical special publication, we are immensely honored to present this meticulously crafted historical retrospective. Throughout the entire process of writing, our team members have devoted a substantial amount of time, energy, and enthusiasm to deliver a rich, accurate, and vivid historical account.

The creation of this historical special edition is a collaborative effort, with each editor contributing their expertise and unique insights. We conducted joint research, discussions, and decision-making, striving to showcase as many historical events, figures, and contexts as possible within the limited space. Every article was meticulously revised and proofread to ensure accuracy and authority in the content.

During the process of writing this historical special edition, we keenly felt the weight of responsibility. We understand that the interpretation and presentation of history encompass diversity and controversy. Therefore, we made every effort to ensure objectivity and neutrality in the presented content, relying on authoritative historical research and academic resources.
