Section 64: Chi Wen Alumni Association (Bahau) Johor Selatan

1 photos in this section

Chi Wen (Bahau) Primary and Secondary School has over 60s and 90s history since established and has nurtured tens of thousands of alumni. The alumni live all over the world, involved in different fields and industries. They are playing different roles and having their own achievements.

Persatuan Alumni Chi Wen (Bahau) and Persatuan Alumni Chi Wen (Selangor) were established earlier to promote communications and local development and were having great contributions to the alma mater. Due to these good factors, Persatuan Alumni Chi Wen (Bahau) Johor Selatan was suggested to establish as a contact and communication platform for those alumni who live in Johor and Singapore.

In Year 2008, the preparation for establishment of Persatuan Alumni Chi Wen (Bahau) Johor Selatan was started under the lead of principal张振城. The board of members included 张振城 (Chairman), 袁天佑 (Vice Chairman), 蔡毓萍 (Secretary), 潘瑞萍

(Treasurer), 卢家麒 (member), 李树国 (member) and 林桂芳 (member).

Persatuan Alumni Chi Wen (Bahau) Johor Selatan was formally established in mid of March 2009 after received an approval letter from the government. The first board of meeting was held at Saleng Fortune Restaurant in Year 2010. 曾凤相, 李锦秀, 庄其祥, 黄炳霖, 吴志芬, 张心康, 林建安and other alumni were invited to attend the event on that day.

Unfortunately, Chairman 张振城 had passed away in mid of September 2011. 袁天佑then took over as Chairman and continue to promote the Association and the joining of new alumni member. The result in getting more members was not so encouraging due mostly to aged alumni committee members. We hope that the Association can be more active under new and younger leadership.
