Section 71: Persatuan Hainan Daerah Jempol
In 1992, a tea house building in Hainan Coffee shop was rented as the association's clubhouse.
In 1997, the association launched another fundraising campaign and received responses and support from members and Hainan associations from various regions. That year, a double-story shop lot was purchased as the association's premises with the help of a bank loan. The ground floor was rented out, while the upper floor was used for mahjong entertainment. In the same year, a financial crisis occurred in the country, causing bank interest rates to soar. The rental income from the premises was no longer sufficient to cover the bank interest. Therefore, the association introduced 108 promissory notes, each valued at RM1,000, for members to purchase and raise funds to repay the bank loan. The goal was to redeem all the promissory notes within 10 years. Due to the generosity and love of the members towards the association, most of the promissory note holders donated the interest back to the association, and 20 promissory notes were returned. As a result, all the promissory notes were redeemed ahead of schedule on August 31, 2004, taking only 7 years.
From 2000 to 2017, the association has organized numerous activities and expanded its clubhouse facilities, as well as published a special commemorative edition for its 30th anniversary.
On June 30, the association was officially registered and held its inaugural general meeting on August 22, electing its first board of directors with 137 members at that time.
On October 2, 1987, the Youth Brigade was established. The Youth Brigade organized the "88 Chinese New Year National Open Male and Female Mandarin Competition" on the fifth day of the lunar new year, February 21, 1988, which received high praise. In March, the association officially joined the Bahau Chinese Organizations Federation and the Malaysia Hainanese Qiongzhou Association Federation. On March 20, during the Bahau Chinese Organizations Representatives' Assembly, the association was elected as a board member.
In 1989, the association initiated a building plan. That same year, the swearing-in ceremony for the board of directors and the youth brigade was held, with the President of the Malaysian Qiong Federation presiding over the ceremony. The association also celebrated the PMC title of its legal advisor, Chen Feng Nong(陈封浓). On that day, the target of raising RM350,000 for the construction fund was launched.
Starting from 1989, the association began awarding annual academic excellence rewards to members' children. In 1990, a letter was sent to the National Qiong Federation requesting donations for the construction fund of the association. In 1991, during the general meeting, the association's name was changed to Jempol Hainan Association, and the new name was approved by the Registrar of Societies that same year.
In the past, Bahau was a subordinate district of Kuala Pilah. In 1980, Bahau separated from Kuala Pilah and became the 8th district of Negeri Sembilan named Jempol district.
Similarly, the Hainanese community in Bahau used to join the Kuala Pilah Hainan Association as members. In early 1987, Ho Zi Hao,(何子浩) Feng Ming Dong(冯明东), Wang Li Xin,(王礼新) Chen Hua Zhen9(陈华振), Zhang Jun(张钧), and others initiated the establishment of the Jempol district Hanan Association. The preparatory committee was formed on January 13. On March 9, the Bahau Chinese Chamber of Commerce replied, allowing the association's premises to be located within the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and permitting the association to display its signboard.
