Section 35: Taisho Mountain: Bahau's Heaven on Earth

11 photos in this section

In recent years, Taisho Mountain in Bahau has emerged as a popular hiking destination in the eastern part of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. However, this beautiful mountain didn't become a shining star overnight. It took a dedicated group of volunteers four years to transform Taisho Mountain into the renowned tourist attraction it is today.

What makes Taisho Mountain remarkable is its ever-changing scenery. If it had rained heavily the day before, visitors have the chance to witness a spectacular sea of clouds the next morning. This has made the "sea of clouds" one of Taisho Mountain's signature attractions. The misty mountaintop feels like a fairyland, attracting countless tourists who come to witness this magical spectacle.

At the summit of Taisho Mountain, a magnificent viewing platform has been built for hikers to enjoy sunrise and sunset. This platform not only attracts local residents but also members of many out-of-town tour groups who come to admire the beautiful scenery of Bahau. At sunrise, the first rays of sunlight illuminate the mountain range, turning the clouds into a golden hue, creating a breathtaking sight. At sunset, the mountains and lakes are reflected in captivating shades of orange and red, evoking a sense of wonder and awe in the beauty of nature.

Behind all of this is the untold story of a group of passionate volunteers who have worked tirelessly. They dedicated years of effort to build hiking trails, maintain the ecological balance of the mountain, ensure visitor safety, and provide a better experience for tourists. Their contributions and dedication are an indispensable part of what has made Taisho Mountain the treasure it is today.

The charm of Taisho Mountain lies in its fresh air, whether you're admiring the sunrise in the morning, watching the sunset in the evening, or even enjoying the city lights at night, it feels like being in a heavenly realm. Every moment on Taisho Mountain has its unique beauty, and every scene is like a hidden paradise, presenting a series of wonderful experiences.

Regarding the infrastructure development on Taisho Mountain, Ye Yunhui(叶云辉) mentioned some important facilities such as pavilions, toilets, observation platforms, wooden tables, and chairs. These were all achieved through the selfless efforts of dedicated individuals, and some were even created by repurposing materials brought up the mountain by volunteers. The construction of these facilities has not only improved the comfort of visitors but also provided a better outdoor recreational area for everyone.

In just two short years, Taisho Mountain has become a prominent landmark in Bahau, attracting a large number of hikers and tourist groups from afar. This achievement can be credited to the efforts of TV program hosts Ye Jun Cen(叶俊岑) and Chen Hui Tian(陈慧恬) from Channel 8, who visited Taisho Mountain twice and received tremendous support from countless netizens. Taisho Mountain is hailed as a place with a "heavenly" and "otherworldly" atmosphere, and its mountaintop platform features four-cornered pavilions, viewing platforms, wooden tables, chairs, tea houses, and public toilets. It's an ideal place for hiking with friends, brewing a pot of tea in the pavilion, and having conversations while enjoying the breathtaking views—a true delight in life.
